Welcome to my website. My name is Ed Santillanes and I am a teacher with the San Juan Unified School District. My current assignment is El Camino Fundamental High School. I am entering my 25th year here. I teach Radio/TV, Theater Arts and Sophomore English 2 in the Eagle Polytechnic Institute.

The Radio/TV Program boasts the only broadcasting high school radio station in the Sacramento Area. KYDS 91.5 FM Sacramento is a non-commercial, educational station that has been in operation since 1979. We blast out, at 414 watts,  an eclectic range of music and programming. Lo Down Productions is the campus closed-circuit TV station that produces the morning announcements (“Get the Lo Down”) every single day of the school year.

Our Theater Arts Program is now blossoming, after a shaky first year. We were able to get three productions under our belt last year, and this year looks to be as good or better. So far, we have scheduled Bad Seed for our Fall Production and Fiddler on the Roof for our Spring Musical. Our Spring Play has not been determined.

The Eagle Polytechnic Institute is a three-year interdisciplinary course of study in English, Mathematics, Science, Social Science and Technology. Our three careers paths are: Engineering/Metals Technology, CAD Drafting/Architectural Design and Media Communications (Radio/TV).
